Jim Carrey is Steven Jay Russell, happily married to Debbie and a member of the local police force, when a car accident provokes a dramatic reassessment of his life... Steven realises he’s gay and becomes a con artist to fund his now very expensive life style. But his swindling ways land him in jail and in love with his cell mate, Phillip Morris (Ewan McGregor). What makes this film even more remarkable is that it’s based on a true story.
