The Infidel

Mahmud Nasir is a London Muslim cab driver. Whilst maybe not the most observant, his heart is as Muslim as it gets. After his mother’s death, Mahmud makes a discovery that turns his whole world upside down - his long lost birth certificate reveals that not only was he adopted at birth but he’s Jewish and his name is Solly Shimsillewitz. As he tumbles headlong into an identity crisis, he takes lessons in Jewishness from his friend Lenny, also a cabbie and Jewish.
