When Max is sent to bed without his dinner for bad behaviour, his need to escape the confines of his room are paramount so he heads for where the wild things are. He lands on an island that is home to many mysterious and strange creatures, wild and unpredictable, they are in need of a leader. And Max? He is longing for a kingdom to rule so when he is crowned king, he promises to create a place where everyone will be happy. But ruling a kingdom is not so easy and Max has his work cut out for him.
