Just as she prepares to say her wedding vows, Susan Murphy is hit by a meteorite infused with Quantonium, a rare and powerful element that causes her to grow to an enormous size. Branded a monster, the government lock her up with other such oddities including Dr Cockroach, a mad scientist who turned himself into a cockroach-human hybrid, BOB a gelatinous mass brought to life when an experiment went wrong, The Missing Link, a lizard-like man and Insectosaurus, a skyscraper-sized mutant larvae. But when a deranged alien arrives on earth to conquer the world, the President calls on the monsters to defeat the evil mastermind.
